The Scholastic Bookfair is a great way for us to earn funds for our programs. Just about everyone loves Scholastic Books. The bookfair helps students and families create home libraries of books that they will enjoy. It is also a terrific way for teachers to build their classroom or school libraries.
The Scholastic bookfair allows our school to earn cash, books, reward bonuses and/or Instructional Resource Catalog Profits (vouchers to select educational tools or books).
Scholastic Bookfairs Give Great Step-by-Step Guides To Help Schools and the Chairperson
The best thing about a Scholastic Bookfair is that they offer instructional guides to show you step by step how to manage your bookfair. These guides cover every topic you can think of, and all that you need is at your fingertips. The guides help you to save time and they show you what other schools have done to be successful. There is a guide for Families, for the Principal, for the Librarian and for Teachers. Each guide offers specific and valuable resources that will help these families, professionals and educators make the most of the bookfair for their school.
It's nearly that time again for our Scholastic Book Fair and we need volunteers to make our fair run successfully.
At this time, the fair is scheduled to run from Thursday, 10/21 through Tuesday, 10/26. The tentative hours are:
10/21 (Thurs) - 9 am - 6 pm
10/22 (Fri) - 9 am - 4:30 pm
10/25 (Mon) - 9 am - 4:30 pm
10/26 (Tues) - 9 am - noon
The class schedule of when the children will visit is still being finalized (I know some parents like to volunteer when their child's class attends. In most cases, the children will come at their normally scheduled library time). We're trying to get the Tuesday afternoon classes and Wednesday classes worked into the schedule for the other days - - more to come on that.
Volunteers are needed to help the children/parents/teachers shop for all hours the book fair is open, as well as set up on Wednesday evening 10/20 and take down Tuesday evening 10/26.
Please email on of us the days and hours you're available to help. We'll confirm with you once we hear back from everyone.
Thanks in advance for offering your time to help on this fun PTA fundraiser!
