FUNDRAISING FOR THE PROGRAMS

We will have only two fundraisers this year.  We listened to what a majority of the Charlton Heights Families said and with the changing   economy we will not be selling any candy or wrapping paper this year.  The funding of our programs relies solely on your support in the    following ways:

ENTERTAINMENT BOOK SALES:   Entertainment Books will go home on September 13th.  Families are encouraged to sell the Entertainment Books to friends and relatives from September 13th until September 27 when sales will end.  All books that are not sold must be returned back to the school with your child. The cost of each book will be $30 (buy 5 and get 1 free).  A portion of the proceeds will go to our PTA to support various programs.

WALK FOR THE ARTS:   On Tuesday October 11th the students will be walking with all of their classmates to help raise funds for the Arts In Education Programs that they love.  A sponsor sheet will be sent home in September for students to ask their relatives and friends to      sponsor them while they walk. Bringing the Arts In Education programs to the children carries a budget that is approximately $8,500.  With almost 500 students at Charlton Heights if each student raises only  $17 dollars each then we have enough funds to support all of the scheduled  Arts In Education programs that both the teachers and students know and love.  100% of the  amount  raised will go entirely to support  the Arts In Education programs that enrich the educational experience of your children!

DIRECT DONATION:  A direct donation is always welcome.  By simply writing a Check to Charlton Heights PTA your donation will help support all of the wonderful programs at Charlton Heights.  Direct donations are tax deductible too!

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake PTA Council

The five individual schools that comprise the BH-BL school district each have their own very active PTA.  These 5 PTAs are coordinated through an umbrella group called the BH-BL PTA Council, which organizes efforts to work on joint needs and projects.  Visit their website to view their meeting minutes.
