Charlton Heights Elementary School is participating in the First Niagara School Banking Club. Children can bring their deposits to the School Banking table set up in the school lobby each Thursday morning as they enter the building. The program will run from 8:15am to
Some highlights:
$$ The minimum deposit is 25 cents.
$$ This banking program encourages frequency rather than amount of deposit.
$$ The current interest rate is 1.98% (2.00% yield)* on balances less than $1,000 as of 11/09.
$$ The savings account belongs to the child, not their parent/guardian.
$$ Only deposits can be made at school. Withdrawals and deposits can be made at any branch of First Niagara Bank.
$$ The bank will deposit $1.00 to the account after the child makes their first deposit.
$$ Fun contests and incentives through the year to encourage saving.
If your child is interested in participating in school banking, they must open an account with the bank. Applications are available at the school banking table so you may have your child pick up an application. Please do not send deposits with your child until they have received their account number in the mail from the Bank.
