Sharing and Caring (formerly the Sunshine Committee)
Program Description: The club is desinged to "think globally and act locally" to give back to those in need in our own community and beyond. In 2009, a "Shoes for the Shoeless Collection" successfully collect 314 pairs of shoes, boot and sneakers. In 2008, we collected 1100 paris. The shoes are distributed through the Lions Club International to needy families in the Appalachian region which includes Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia in the fall.
